Can we list diseases cured? Or progressed in curing ?

To cheer us up.
I’ll start
Pellagra shown to be dietary disease and emptied asylums around somewhere around 33%. If someone can link the exact amount cured that would be nice.

Insulin helps diabetes.

Scurvy is cured with vitamin C

That is all I have for now. Please add to the list or expand on other answers or mine. That would be wonderful.

Small Pox no longer exists.

Strep throat is cured with antibiotics. In fact we cure a lot of bacterial infections.

Childhood leukemia has an over 90% cure rate, considered one of the great cancer cure successes.

Polio vaccine not only helps, it tastes good. :-)

Rickets easily avoided with a good intake of calcium and vitamin D.

When I was a child, leukemia was a death sentence. Now doctors are able to offer advice, treatment, and so much hope.

Some states allow medical marijuana, and not a moment too soon.
Ooooooo, ooooooo! Any statistics about covid in legal weed countries and states? We might get some leverage with the right numbers. ;-D

Flu vaccine.
Vaccines for childhood diseases like measles, mumps and chickenpox. When I was a kid, all children were expected to get these.

Update Washing ones hands before performing surgeries helped patient care.
