I know this is a strange question, but does anyone else get tender spots on your scalp, like the sensation you get when you pull your hair back in a tight ponytail?
Ive had it for 2 months now, yes I’ve been wearing my hair up almost everyday but it’s near the front of my head, I have a fringe, it only hurts if I move the hair – lots of little bumps there, but none of them are overly sore.
I’m starting to think brain tumour now and going to the Dr tomorrow, 2 months seems a long time for a tender spot but anyone else get this?
I have tension headaches a lot and I clench my jaw in my sleep so it could all be tension, plus I suffer from anxiety which is quite bad right now. Thoughts?

It also coincides with using a new shampoo.
Yes. I scratch them too much. Doctor said to try anti-allegy otc pills. They worked but I don’t want to take them every day for the rest of my life. I will ask the doctor or pharmacist next time I see them.
You get tenderness too for long periods?
@tan253 It is itchy all over from head to toe. Not tender. Just itchy. It feels good to scratch. Shaving my head doesn’t help.
Thank you! Yes mine is tender spots…. annoying
Is it mostly on one side of your head?
It’s kinda all over my head but this one spot is one part, it’s not as sore today, I went to the Dr’s and she’s very unconcerned and told me to just ignore it and stop touching it.
Ok, all over is not what I was thinking. Is it like each hair follicle hurts? Or, like a scalp irritation?
no hair follicle hurt, like my hair hurts.
Change your shampoo is all I can think of then.
I’ve washed it and brushed it over the last two days and it’s better… maybe oil build up? I’ve might have gone cavewoman over lock down…... ;)
Oh yes and shampoo changed too!!
I do, but it’s on the top of my head. Generally I don’t use any hair bands or clips or ties for a few days and it’s fine. I have very thick hair and haven’t had a thinning for months, so I don’t blame my head for getting grumpy.
