Which is better Playstation or Xbox?

Im looking into saving money to purchase the new Xbox that is supposed to hit the shelves this Christmas. A lot of my friends are telling me that PlayStation is better. I grew up playing the PlayStation 1 and 2 but then I switched and been playing Xbox. I’m wondering what you guys think.
