What if he had gone jogging for an hour? Or, yoga for an hour?
I don’t know how many holes he played or for how long.
I know Trump is a hypocrite and criticized Obama for playing golf, but just being objective, does it matter what type of exercise?

It’s not a big deal at all, except to the extent that it reveals hypocrisy on his part. If he hadn’t spent so much time criticizing Obama for playing golf (and then going on to play more golf than Obama did), it would be a complete non-issue.
It’s a big deal because that is about all he has done for three and a half years.
Other Presidents have actually laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns on Memorial Day. Trump laid his hand on the wreath, and then stepped back and saluted it. Memorial Day at Arlington is the most solemn act of a President, and he still messed that up.
By itself, no.
In context, it is.
No. Personally I’ve never had an issue with ANY President taking some time for exercise and recreation. I think many people underestimate the tough job they have.
It wouldn’t cost us a million dollars every time he went jogging.
His timing, as usual, was horrible.
@KNOWITALL Same. Didn’t care when Obama did it, don’t care that Trump does it. It’s a dumb thing to criticize a president for doing.
Everyone needs to get physical exercise even the President.
Of course not.
Those who have nothing better to do than bitch & moan will, of course, kick up a fuss.
I’m just pissed that I can’t play.
Why wasn’t he at church? He was making a big deal about opening churches this weekend. Why didn’t he go to one?
@johnpowell He was standing up for his voter base or freedom, take your pick, nothing more.
No. Trump[ should never play golf.
And YOU shouldn’t ask if it’s a big deal. Nor should you ask WHY you shouldn’t ask.
If Obama did it, Trump doesn’t need to be seen doing it,
Let’s find out if Putin was involved.
I think @SavoirFaire nailed it. Coincidentally, just moments before I saw your question, I saw a post comparing his weekend to Biden’s and that was my exact train of thought. I only care because it’s so hypocritical.

@jca2 could you copy and paste the text of your article here? I got blocked when I tried to read it.
@Dutchess_lll—try opening the link up in an “in private” or “incognito” window
@Dutchess_lll: Last time I did that, it got modded off because it wasn’t my writing (wasn’t original to me).
That’s strange. As long as you give proper attribution I can’t imagine what the problem could be.
[Mod says] @jca2 and @Dutchess_lll Just to clarify: we are required to remove text that’s not your own, but only if you fail to provide the source. With sources and for shortish texts, copy/paste is fine.
Wow. No not a big deal. I sometimes do things outside of my normal routine so I can think about things. I have never played golf and I never will. As a kid golf would be on and I’d go outside to play. I’d laugh at the clothes the people wore to play golf. Adam Sandler said it best in the movie: “HAPPY GILMORE.” “If I had to wear those clothes I’d have to kick my own ass.”
I never wore any special clothes to play golf in.
