Atlantis sent out ships to all corners of the Earth
On board were the Twelve
The poet, the physician, the farmer, the scientist
The magician and the other so-called gods of our legends

“doctors, judges and politician and bureaucrats” were never really considered as having expertise, And you left out Philosophers.

See this link:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expert

“Plato’s “Noble Lie”, concerns expertise.

Plato did not believe most people were clever enough to look after their own and society’s best interest, so the few clever people of the world needed to lead the rest of the flock.

Therefore, the idea was born that only the elite should know the truth in its complete form and the rulers, Plato said, must tell the people of the city “the noble lie” to keep them passive and content, without the risk of upheaval and unrest.”

Plus it lists some books to refer too but here is one list I would like to read maybe?

Anti-intellectualism – Hostility to and mistrust of education, philosophy, art, literature, and science

Denialism – A person’s choice to deny reality, as a way to avoid a psychologically uncomfortable truth

The Death of Expertise – Book by Tom Nichols

Gibson’s law – Every PhD has an equal and opposite PhD
