Where is the outrage at Facebook? Why the silence?

Asked by elbanditoroso (33590points) May 27th, 2020

They are discontinuing the traditional Scrabble™ game on June 5, and replacing it with some gaudy, shlocky, dumb substitute game.

Surely some of you play Scrabble. Were you aware of this travesty?

I used to play scrabble on their years ago. If i recall it turned into something crappy back then and I quit.

I don’t do Facebook or play Scrabble, but I sympathize. This is a time when we crave our small comforts and want stability wherever we can find it. Messing around with the familiarity of websites and taking away routine little diversions ought to be outlawed right now.

A puzzle site that I like revised its interface a few weeks ago, and I was perturbed to see how much that trivial change threw me off balance. It was like, can’t I rely on anything?

I play Words With Friends with Dutchess. I used to play with Auggie :-(

I used to play Words With Friends with dutchess and auggie also, and a few others, but I haven’t played in a long time. It took me a while to get used to it since I was a scrabble player for some many years, but eventually I did.

I used to play words with friends with Auggie too. But then I quit because she was always destroying me.

@johnpowell Oh, I didn’t mind losing. I’m terrible at word games and I lose most of my games anyway.
