Should we consider defunding the police?

If Police defunded, what will replace the police..Military permanently?
I don’t think we need that.

BAD IDEA! They do have to be accountable for their actions , but society does need a Police force, and society.

Just ban them from acquiring and using military grade equipment. They do not need to be kitted out like fucking soldiers.

Especially against rioters .^^

I recently rewatched some of the “Police Academy” movies.
If you replaced all current cops with the film’s bumbling caricatures, it would be a vast improvement.

Stupidest fucking thing I have ever seen in my life. It seems super privileged to assume that nobody needs the police. I’m biased because I’ve been helped by them a lot. I still recognize that bad ones exist but I will never think that we need to dismantle the whole entire police force. If you want them to get more training doing this will not help. Why do people do things without thinking things all the way through?

Also, does this mean they won’t have bodyguards to protect them anymore? If the public doesn’t need protection why do they??

Think about it.
A couple of PigThugs brutalise a grandpa, and get suspended for it.
And 57 pigs are so outraged, not by the police brutality, but by the perpetrators being merely suspended for it.
Just “a few bad apples” my arse. The entire tree is rotten.
Cut it down, rip out the roots, burn the entire thing, and incinerate the soil it grew it.
Then plant a new one somehere better.

Reformed, yes. And transfer the funds.
We HAVE to have a police force of some kind.
