If so, is it easy to get some speed on these things? Are they difficult to maneuver?

@Tropical_Willie -Your link didn’t show them but is this it?
I just read that the brakes on the one I mentioned were “dangerously inadequate”
I won’t let that stop me.

Never ridden a rickshaw, no.

@ragingloli Not the same, now is it?

That’s the one they were terrible to steer and yes it is a boat. I’ve seen these Sprocket Tours.

@Tropical_Willie -They had one in my town and it looked fun.for a second XD
I wonder if it’d help to have a bigger rudder or a trolling motor? lol

You mean a sexed up bicycle or trike? Nope. Regular bikes do just fine.

Here’s Wiki People Powered Vehicle, sounds like they were heavy and a had poor braking system.

@Tropical_Willie – Yep. I’d get my hub to put a brake on the rear axle….or cut a hole in the floor for a Flintstone-esque modification.

I had a go-kart/bogey as a kid.
My uncle made it out of bits of wood left over from his shed build.
Rope for a steering wheel & the soles of your feet for brakes…I went through a shit ton of shoes!
