I shall kick things off…
This city takes your breath away.
A recently opened place where you can buy corned beef sandwiches.
Known as the oldest city in America, it has an entire fort made from coquina shell stone that still stands today.
@ucme La Paz, Bolivia?
@JLeslie Not there no.
Think, theme song from eighties movie, the city is also the name of the band.
@JLeslie: I’ve always wanted to go there (despite hating Florida weather with every fiber of my being).
@cookieman It’s beautiful! I highly recommend it. Beautiful Mediterranean architecture, good restaurants, and the beach isn’t far if you like the beach. It’s usually cool or even cold in the winter months, although you can hit a hot spell. It’s famous for Christmas lights if you like that sort of thing.
Don’t go to the fountain of youth attraction, it’s cheesy, but otherwise the other tourist interests are very informative and the fort is a definite must do.
It’s a really lovely place for a weekend, although you can get the feel for it in a day if you’re just in the area.
@JLeslie: Cool. It’s in my list now for a Christmas trip.
Berlin is correct!
I mean, I did practically spell it out lol
Despite the name implying otherwise this city, the only city so named in the United States (and hometown of the first commercially successful black filmmaker), has less than 7,000 people.
No acknowledgement?
Come on, you know I’m right :D
Well first I have to see the post before I can acknowledge it. But yes, you are correct.
