Had this conversation with my brother the other day. He asked me when was the last time I saw my chiropractor. I said it was several years ago, the last time I played softball. He said “you always hurt your back when you played, and you weren’t even good at it. Why did you even bother?”
It was true. I wasn’t good, but I liked playing. Also, he hurt my feelings by pointing out that I wasn’t good at it. :-)

Soccer. I mostly played defense. All I did was clear the ball. I never scored. Was fun. I have two silver (pewter) medals in under 14 soccer.

I enjoy weaving. I spent a whole year weaving a 2 foot by 4 foot square in grade 5 – 6. Got a negative 6,500% grade for being a year late.

Playing the piano. I’m competent enough that I don’t just mash the keyboard aimlessly but I’ve never had any real talent. I still enjoy playing simple pieces for fun, though.

Eating.

Even though I have lots of experience doing it, I still occasionally bite my tongue, the insides of my cheeks, and various utensils; spill liquids, drop solids, accidentally chomp cherry pits, and misdirect stuff to my trachea.

But with my will of guacamole and my stomach of iron, I’ll NEVER give up…unless I ever need a Heimlich…. then I might consider an all-liquid diet until I graduate from a remedial eating class. ;-p

@kritiper Yes me too. I can’t putt. I did a power drive in the malls mini golf when I was in grade school. I played it where It landed in the furnature store. I even called fore!
