@Inspired_2write -What is this “schedule” that you speak of?
I can’t believe how fast this q was answered!:D
Does yours need a cure? Mine doesn’t.
Write a to do list ( schedule) and a timeline and cross off each task when completed.
Someone else to tell you to do something.
I give myself a time and I tell myself that at that time, you’re going to do ______. For example, at 10:30 you’re going to get off the computer and start getting ready to go out.
@jca2 -15 minutes left for me…
Don’t put off until tomorrow, what you can do today.
@KNOWITALL – I throw that one at my husband from time to time.
It usually follows “Make me a sandwich!” with mixed results. XD
@josie -I love that idea.
I had to tell my brother in law that tee time doesn’t mean in the parking lot.
I don’t have time to stress over it today, so I worry about it tomorrow
A motivational speaker I heard once said, “If you have a lot of frogs to swallow, swallow the biggest one first.” When I have several things to do – and I remember that advice – if I do the most onerous first, the rest seem easier.
@janbb -Good advice!
I just finished a small painting a few minutes ago that’s been hanging over my head for awhile now. ;)
Usually 2 things ,if I put this off how much more money is this going to cost, or if I put this off how much will Mrs Squeeky yell at me?
This sounds backwards, but allowing myself to procrastinate helps reduce the amount of procrastination.
Guilt-ridden procrastination usually lasts way longer.
Guilt.
Which is actually my motivation for a lot.
I try to take good care of futurelonggone. Sometimes I can motivate myself by thinking about how much futurelonggone hates to hurry, how much she enjoys a clean kitchen, or that she’ll feel good after getting some exercise…
