Is this wrong? (NSFW) (P&R)

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24986points) July 11th, 2020

Masturbating to the image of someone you know?

In grade school a religious book for teens said that it was wrong.

Like in Star Trek Nemesis where counselor troy’s mind was invaded and she was mentally violated? Is that a real thing? Or are we free to wack off masturbate in private? To anyone we choose?

Keep your fantasies to yourself and who cares who you beat the meat to.
NOBODY wants to know your sunday school teacher turns ya on, or your big rack aunt Ruth does it for for you.

No, just don’t tell them unless you are totally positive they would be okay with it. And unless you are already in some kind of relationship with that person, I’m guessing they wouldn’t be.
It’s not wrong, just keep it to yourself like Squeeky said.

So long as you keep it to yourself, you can fantasize about whoever or whatever you want when you masturbate.

If you have a sexual partner, you could maybe share it with them if you’re confident they’d be cool with it.

Who would/could judge you? Religions would tell you it was wrong because they teach that some unseen entity is watching you. If one believes that, then I have a bridge I’d like to sell them.

Sex is part of a healthy adult life, and masturbation is a form of sex. Our sexual fantasies are private, and it’s best to keep them that way, unless we have a partner to share them with. The only other person I would share my sexual fantasies with would be my therapist. No one else needs to know.

Whack to whomever you want. Just keep it to yourself and no one will ever know.

I hate to break it to you, but you are not a teenager. That book was written to specifically target teenagers and to try to control them.

As long as you keep your sexual fantasies to yourself, you may wank to the thought of anyone or anything you like

As far as I know, there is nothing in the Bible that discusses what you should think about when you masturbate. I checked the Skeptic’s Annotated Bible for a discussion of masturbation. It points to Genesis 38:7 to 38:10. A person is told that he must marry his brother’s wife, because a man is required to marry his dead brother’s wife if she has not had any children. (Deuteronomy 25:5 to 25:10). The guy is not too keen on this idea, so he masturbates instead of having sex. God kills him for this. Some interpret the passage as saying that masturbation is wrong.

38:7 And Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him.

38:8 And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother’s wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.

38:9 And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.

38:10 And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also.

Of course you’re free to do so. I would warn anyone to check in with themselves to make sure they are not tending towards obsession or blurring any lines between reality and fantasy. Only you will know that.
