How long do cartilage piercings last?

If you have piercings please feel free to educate me on the various body parts and healing versus closing time.

I’m trying to decide whether to repierce one piece or not, too.

I stupidly had one done at the mall. It didn’t hurt when it was done. But it was taking forever to heal (don’t ask me how long forever is, cuz i don’t remember), so I took it out and gave up.

I feel the same, it gets more sore than skin piercings to me.
Have you tried it lately? Should just be skin over the holes unless you took it out really quickly.
