Is e still a thing in popular culture?

Asked by doyendroll (1771points) July 19th, 2020

I was seeking to transcend but without the use of recreational pharmacology. My number of choice of course was e. I took it and raised it to a power. That power was a multiple of the imaginary unit times the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. I know what you’re thinking, I should add one to the party. Do you know what I was left with? What does this question mean to you?

You were left with zero. It’s called Euler’s identity.

This whole discussion is irrational.

Here is a fairly easy one you may like. If you add me to myself, multiply me by myself or raise me to my own power, it makes no difference. It is all the same. Who am I?

Here is another one that is real easy, but only if you look at it the right way. Given the curve y= arctan(x) + arctan(6-x), where is that magical line of symmetry that reflects each half of the curve onto the other half? This can be solved with just elementary algebra – no calculus. Heck, you don’t even need to know what arctan is.
