If I grow plants that attract butterflies, will the butterflies also be attracted to any of the fruit plants in the area and help pollinate them?

Go for it! I just read that they are not as efficient as bees are at it but do play a part in pollination, fruit trees included.
Besides, they are beautiful to look at.
Yes, Butterflies pollinate plants. Pollen is sticky due to its size and shape. It sticks to the bees and butterflies that visit. They then spread it around.
~Sounds a bit like Covid-19.
