How would you interpret this?

I like pink and white together.
I just don’t like how it feels.

It’s a response to an aesthetic. But without the context, interpretation does not give any real understanding.

Talking about flower arrangements? Dress for a wedding? An album cover for a rock and roll band (like this ) ?

Maybe it indicates pleasure at the simple visual sensation, but concern about what it represents. For example, you might enjoy looking at flowery curtains but worry that they could be perceived as tacky.

@zenvelo Absolutely no context was given. I asked her and she said it didn’t have to do with anything. She just wanted to let me know that. Haha

@longgone What do you think “pink and white” could represent?

PS Thanks for sending this Q back for moderation. Brain apparently not working that late at night.

Is this from a feminist or proto-feminist? Perhaps there is some girlishness that the person is associating with the color combination even though it is pleasing to them? Kind of what @longgone said already.

@raum I agree with @janbb, possibly girlishness. Or too conventional, dated, predictable? Too romantic? Too festive? Maybe you could learn more by asking what alternatives this person would prefer.

You’re welcome. We’ve all been there.

I’m not sure what they mean by “feels.”

All I can assume is the person associates the combination with something. For instance I associate certain smells with certain colors. That’s not a perfect analogy, but I think something that affects one of our senses (sight in this case) can translate to another (touch).

Pink and white is soft and pillowy to me.

I’m just not sure if the person means an emotional feeling or an emotion along feeling.
