A new cup of herbal tea. I just got some called “Refresh.” It’s good.
Maybe a new book at Barnes & Noble with a coffee, or a new purse, foot massage, something nice but inexpensive. I have to fight my frugal ‘save save save’ nature so it’s rare.
I was excited to watch Lost Boys 2 (The Tribe) and 3 (The Thirst) last Saturday, I hadn’t heard they existed but my husband found them on HBO Max and surprised me. Corey Feldman never lets me down.
Hot meat. An outside cut of a beef rib roast would do now, but Is $25 a steak.
A friend of mine always used to say “When you’re feeling low, milk a cow. Feeling low is how you milk a cow!”
@RedDeerGuy1 I would love to feed you for a week just to see what you like. Your interest in food is amusing to me as a cook. Ha! My husband is around 150lbs so he isn’t a good guinea pig for my skills.
Dinosaur model. Like this T-Rex. I just started collecting during the pandemic.

“President”
▲ 4th from the bottom answer. ;-p
A nice nap. It works wonders for me.
(“President” was in my details.)
Exercise class.
There’s really nothing better than physical activity for beating the blues.
House plants and zoanthid corals.
…the arrival of my latest order of anime.
…get outside and enjoy nature.
Its humbling , and stops the grumbling.
It makes me feel like a speck in this universe that we are so fortunate to live in.
A juicy murder mystery to read, or watch on Netflix.
Somehow death in fiction form keeps my mind off of death in real life.
anything. I so rarely get anything “new”, that it’s all a mood lifter.
A classic or older movie to watch that I’ve never seen before. I love going in knowing nothing about the movie and it analyzing on my own, and then researching the history of the making of the film afterwards. Plus, reading and watching reviews of the film on YouTube.
Here are the ones I’ve seen in the past three months:
Dumbo
Lady & the Tramp
The Sword in the Stone
Robin Hood
The Muppet Movie
The Black Cauldron
The Great Mouse Detective
Flight of the Navigator
King Kong
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
The Rocketeer
Tron
Gremlins
Die Hard
Bonnie & Clyde
Dirty Harry
Straw Dogs
Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom
Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
Fantasia
Castle in the Sky
The Godfather Part III
Rosemary’s Baby
The Wicker Man
A new fish for my fish pond.. That is even more fun than a nap!
@anniereborn That makes me sad to hear. I love spoiling my little mama. Wish I was there, we’d have a girls day with delicious brunch and Macy’s to get you a new outfit, on me.
@rockfan Try to see My Neighbor Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery if you can. :)
Personal trainer- Oozy Mendelbummer! ;-o
Is “puppy” an option? That would work, but I can’t budget for a new one every time I feel down.
So, to supplement with some more realistic options:
When I’m feeling low, it really cheers me up to have a new…
1) ...episode of my go-to podcasts
2) ...bubble bath bar from Lush
3) ...(captivating) book
4) ...song that speaks to me
5) ...area to explore
