Do you like to drench your food with sugar?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24986points) August 16th, 2020

Extra butter on popcorn, lots of table syrup on eggos, and salad dressing on salads?

Humor welcome.

No, I stopped doing that kind of thing around age ten.

Seriously, over saturating with a dressing or seasoning is a waste, and ruins good food. Way to ruin a bowl of pop corn, ruin waffles or pancakes, ruin a salad.

I don’t care for foods that are too sweet. No need for extra butter on popcorn because it’s too messy. (I don’t like messy foods either.) For salad, just a smidge on your fork is enough to add flavor without too many calories.

I like waffles with my syrup. And salad with my Ranch. I just made a baked potato that is was about 50% sour cream and 50% potato.

But I haven’t had soda in 20 years so I can do whatever I want.

@RedDeerGuy1 I have always tended to use more toppings than I “should” on things. When it comes to sugar and carbs tho, I have to be very careful now that I have Diabetes 2.

No. I don’t like the taste of super sweet foods, and I try to eat a very healthy diet, which does not involve a lot of sugar. I never put sugar on cereal. I don’t add it to anything, like tea or coffee, and I never put it on anything really.

I will use sugar in homemade baked goods that I make, but I never use “table sugar” for anything, except baking, and I don’t eat a lot of what I bake. It’s usually for other people.

No, but from time to time I enjoy eating cocoa powder with a table spoon.

No. Never. Popcorn always plain. No sugar no butter. It’s actually a very satisfying diet food.
I loves me some pancakes, but I put the syrup on the side. Soggy pancakes are gross.
