Do you brush your dog's teeth?

Asked by YARNLADY (46619points) August 31st, 2020

Vets recommend we brush our dogs teeth. I never have, but the vet has once or twice for an extra fee.

We brushed our first boxer’s teeth about once a month. I’ve never brushed my other boxers teeth.

I have had my dogs’ teeth cleaned by the vet from time to time but never brushed them myself. Frodo would probably have had my guts for garters – as the British say.

Not as often as I should. He absolutely HATES his teeth being brushed. Thankfully he is a small dog and can’t out wrestle me.

Yes, sometimes. I should do it more – daily is ideal.

Wilson dislikes it, too. Luckily he’s a kind soul and doesn’t want to wrestle with me.

Yes, about every other month. They’re okay with it. Plus they get Greenies daily.

I never did. But I did feed my dog a high quality DRY dog food, such as Purina. It being dry helped to keep his teeth clean and his weight down.

No, I’ve never done that, despite loving my doggie.
