Where do you keep your car title? (if it's paid off)
Do you put it in bank safe deposit box? a home safe? or just in an “import papers” drawer in a desk?
Do you take special care of the car title?

Once, I kept the title in the car. On another occasion, I kept the title in an “Important Papers” file cabinet.
Important papers file drawer
I have a portable fireproof safe where I keep such papers. It’s dangerous to keep them in a file cabinet because they will most likely perish in a fire
I have a go bag in case of emergency with marriage license, birth certificates, titles, etc…
In my file under “c”. I keep it simple. It works.
About 10 months ago my husband decided to sell one of our cars and when I went to look for the title I couldn’t find it. I couldn’t find any of the titles to any of our cars.
Usually, we keep it in a regular file. We move it an important papers brief case during natural disasters and when we move to a new house. My husband found the titles eventually, I don’t remember where, but neither of the two places they should have been in.
I’d keep it in the important papers place I think, but I don’t take care of it usually.
An important papers file – if there’s a fire, the state has a record of it.
Erp… I don’t know. It was paid off 24 years ago and is still going strong, and gets 30+ mpg..
Wish they still made Saturns, I’d buy another one.
