What do you think about the ending of the TV series "Pretty Little Liars", specifically about "Uber A"'s identity?

Spoilers from here, Alex Drake. I just don’t understand why a character never officially introduced before season 7’s ending must be the primary antagonist. What do you think about that?

I watched PLL for years then I realized that it was a fancy night time soap opera and lost interest. Fortunately, my daughter lost interest about the same time. I found their season ending cliff hangers more frustrating than creating a desire to continue watching next season. I haven’t missed it so I don’t have an opinion on anything they do
