How come some YouTubers write good comments but are not "rewarded" with likes?
Maybe because they aren’t taken seriously? If so, why?

Comments are sorted by descending “likes”, so any new comment will be very far down the list.
Rewards?! We don’t need no stinking rewards. That’s why!
I watched a 116 episode YouTube video on a video game. Sometimes I forgot to like it. When I have time I will retroactively like as many videos as I can remember.
Many peeps are so self-absorbed that they don’t take the time to read any of the comments so they don’t have a clue what anybody said. Also, often the comments are so far down the list that nobody is willing to read that far
@RedDeerGuy1 It might help if you give each vid that you’re getting ready to watch a thumbs up first. then if you decide that you don’t like it, you can take it back or give a thumbs down. That way you give the creator their recognition and you will know that you’ve already watched that one a month later when you click on it again not remembering that you’ve already watch it
It appears to me that “likes” are used against us to compile a marketing profile. When I click on some, targeted ads start appearing on my computer.
Is digital validation from complete strangers really that meaningful?
@Darth_Algar: Even strangers can help you live a good life. For some, especially.
And getting “likes” helps you live a good life?
@Darth_Algar: If you happen to have, let’s say, 100,000 likes in a year, why not?
I have no facebook, no instagram, and I don’t care who likes me. I have a husband and daughter who love me very much. I feel that I have a “great” life
This happens a lot. However, some eventually get their likes. When they do, sometimes it is years later. This happens all of the time on YouTube.
