Do you know of any creative engineering companies that make physical products?

Asked by Jonathan_hodgkins (690points) September 29th, 2020

I talked to some employees of a company where all of the employees work to create their own products from scratch in an effort to license these ideas to toy companies. The open and free concept seems too good to be true. Do you know of other companies like this, that allow for a great deal of employee freedom in an effort to develop their own ideas? How do you discover these inventing and licensing companies. Thanks!

Decades ago, when they were “smallish”, Teradyne did something like that.
Employees could use components, assembly and test facilities to build and test their ideas.

I don’t know if they do that any more.
