That’s really a question for your psychiatrist.
Usually a doctor will evaluate the causes of visions/hallucinations and base the choice on that. He must first determine the cause before prescribing the treatment.
My brother, a diagnosed schizophrenic, said various food induced visions, so he avoided tomatoes, sugar and alcohol. He preferred oatmeal, Graham crackers, milk, all fruits, cabbage, corn and various beans.
There are many available nowadays. A psychiatrist will recommend one for a patient.
