Blue shirt versus red shirt? Is this a statement?

Asked by YARNLADY (46619points) October 8th, 2020

A visitor in Bakersfield Ca was killed because he wore a blue shirt. What would it mean in a Sacramento school? What is an political statement or gang color?

With no further context or detail it’s impossible to surmise a motive here.

How do they know it was because he wore a blue shirt? as opposed to just knowing that he wore a blue shirt? How is wearing a blue shirt opposed to wearing a red shirt? Isn’t it equally opposed to wearing a yellow shirt, a gray one, a purple one, a plaid one, and a paisley one? This sounds like nonsense to me.

If someone came and killed me right now, I’d be found wearing a blue shirt. What would cause that to be seen as a motive? I like blue.

Whoever claims to know that it was because of the shirt color must also know the answer to your question. .

Gang colors in some neighborhoods Blue is not a color to wear.

All it means to me is science and medical personnel versus engineering and security.

It could be a Democrats vs. Republicans color thing.

He was either a Crip, or he wore blue into a Bloods neighborhood.

@zenvelo Is that still a thing? I though all that ended in the 90’s with those two?

@KNOWITALL: It’s definitely still a thing.
