IS there any way to connect two additional displays to a MacBook Pro?
I allready have a 17” Monitor and i’m considering buying a 17” MacBook pro. However my wise friend pointed out that buying a 15” MacBook Pro lets me buy a 20” Apple Cinema Display for the price of one 17” MBP. However, that would make the 17” monitor pretty useless. Is there any way i could connect the 17” monitor, the 20” Apple Cinema Display and my Macbook Pro 15” all together as one big screen?

I don’t think you’ll be able to connect two screens screens to a Macbook Pro (at least as an extend desktop). I think only Mac Pros can handle more than one extra screen.
I don’t see why you couldn’t. There are adaptors for connecting multiple displays. Try googling it. “multiple displays with MacBook pro” or something along those lines..
Well, i could allways connect them, but the question is if Mac OS X and the hardware know how to handle 3 displays. and i don’t want them to show the same thing af course, they have to be 3 independent displays with the ability to show for i.e. Design on the first, Code on the second and the result on the third.
ah, I see. Well, did you google it? There has got to be a way to do it. A piece of software to install, at least.
I think that a hard cable splitter would do the trick. OS X should pick up the presence of the three monitors (Built in +2), and split the feed accordingly.
The one concern I have is, are the monitors too uber huge to be driven by the computer. IE, can your gfx card handle it?
There are products connecting displays via USB port, like a Gefen branded one. If you are really in need of it, you should give a try.
