Have you ever seen the show "Mad Men" and if so, what is your opinion of it?

Mad Men was on from 2007–2015, which I know qualifies as Ancient History in TV Land.

I’ve been wanting to watch it for a long time (along with so many others like Sopranos and Breaking Bad), and am finally watching now. I’m in the middle of the 4th season.

I love period pieces, love the old sets, clothes, etc. which, a lot of items were things in my grandparents’ house when I was growing up (plaid Thermos jugs, rotary phones, Mid-Century furniture). I also am finding Don Draper to be gorgeous, which is icing on the cake.

I only watched about 5 episodes. I liked it, because I really liked the sets, cinematography, decor, clothing, many of the same reasons you mentioned.

Watching the women being treated badly was a little tiresome for me.

I’ve been thinking about trying it again.

I absolutely loved it. It reminded me of my years of growing up. And yes, it doesn’t hurt to look at Don Draper.

I think it’s the best retrospective on the 50s and 60s ever to appear on television. You have to see it to remember just how ordinary a blue cloud of indoor cigarette smoke could be.

It never seemed to excite any of my friends so I never heard enough to make me feel the need to watch it. Now it’s ancient history so still haven’t had a reason to watch. Glad you’re enjoying it tho
