How do you reconcile these two sayings?

Trying the same thing over and over is a sign of insanity.

Try try, and try again.

No it’s doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results that is insanity.

Nothing wrong with trying to accomplish something over and over again.

When attempting to reconcile antagonymic apophthegms, if at first you don’t succeed – to heck with it.
