Can anyone explain what the republicans were doing holding a press conference in the car park of a garden center?

Surely Philadelphia has better conference facilities available for the President to use?

Apparently someone at the campaign screwed up. They were supposed to book the Four Season Hotel (fancy shmancy) but instead somehow got the address for Four Seasons Garden Center.

Or .. more likely… one of Trump’s friends owns the garden center and he wanted to give them publicity.

Or… it was sabotage by a Trump operative who hadn’t been paid.

^^ What he said.

Or “the” Four Seasons said no, and Dear Leader was melting down already, so aides scrambled to placate him with “a” Four Seasons.

A parking lot next to a porn store is a fitting scene for the end of the campaign for the tin-pot toddler.

I wonder if the person who organized the event at Four Seasons is still employed??

It’ll be the hone of Trump’s next business venture post White House:

Trump’s Plants, Porn and Presidential Library

All of the books will be in black, plastic wrappers.

Don’t forget the crematorium across the street.

I am going with intentional sabotage by a staffer.
Someone had to call the place to make the arrangement. The “Sir, this is a garden centre.” would have inevitably come up.
In any case, a press conference in front of a garden centre, and between a sex shop and a crematorium, is an appropriate comical coda to these farcical four years.

It wasn’t even in front. It was in an alleyway parking lot behind the building.

It was right next to a porn shop, so many would be there anyway.

The site was a trainwreck. It was perfectly representative of the candidate.

I thought you guys were riffing off some kind of crude satire, but no . . . it seems to have really happened. Trumpism remains its own most potent satire. I hope this incident (if real) enters the slang dictionaries as an apt illustration of self-own.

Thus the Trump regime comes to its fitting conclusion – whimpering in a parking lot between dildos and dead bodies.

@Darth_Algar The sad part is, they aren’t sure which is which.

Nothing out of the ordinary. You can usually find lots of bullshit in a garden center.

Mark Meadows and Ben Carson now have the virus, so they’re moving it outside without admitting that it’s a problem
