Anyone else still enjoy those sugary kid cereals?
I had a bowl of Frosted Flakes with my grand son today, as Tony the Tiger said, They’re Great! I like Cheerios and Rice Krispies as well. Any one else? Yeah yeah they aren’t healthy, but I don’t care I’m gonna die anyway.

Sugary cereals? Absolutely. But those two in particular I’ll pass on.
Yes! I eat them in lieu of some other sort of sweet dessert. I like Frosted Flakes and Honey Smacks best of the really sweet ones. I also buy Raisin Bran and Barbara’s Original, which to me are sweet, but not sugary. Mostly, I eat Wheat Chex, Corn Flakes, Grape Nuts, and for hot cereal Wheatina. I eat it with half skim half watered down unsweetened almond milk.
Yes, I still occasionally buy Captain Crunch or Trix. My favorite cereals are Life and various forms of Cheerios, but I will still pick up a brightly-colored box from the kids’ section of the cereal aisle.
We do on occasion when they’re on sale. Golden Grahams is my favorite ‘bad for you’ splurge.
@KNOWITALL You only go ‘round once, live a little.
I do like Frosted Legs (as my son used to call them) but it’s been years and years.
“Life” is the closest to sugar cereal we buy now.
One time I gave my granddaughter a bowl of Cheerios. She was sad they weren’t her favorite cereal Coco Puffs. So I poured Hersey’s syrup on the Cheerios. Problem solved. She ate 2 bowls.
Since Biden has been elected, I’ve been eating Corn Pops.
Every couple of years I will buy a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. My main cereal choice is Cheerios.
On occasion, I eat Raisin Bran or the frosted wheat squares – I forgot what they’re called. That’s about it.
Sugar Frosted Flakes have to be one of the greatest things invented since sliced bread. I also like Cocoa Puffs, and Honey Smacks. Cinnamon Toast Crunch is good, too. We never had stuff like that in our house. Too expensive for too many kids. We got oatmeal, which I still eat everyday.
We had oatmeal a lot as well. Cream of wheat too. I haven’t had cream of wheat in years, now that I think about it.
What kind of oatmeal do you make? The packets? Or out of the big Quaker Oat box?
Mom always did the Quaker Oat thing. Mighty good. My wife uses the little packet things. I could never tell the difference myself.
