What are your nerdy secrets?
My four nerdy secrets:
I never won the last fight with Mike Tyson in Nintendo against Mike Tyson.
I never got past page 63 in the Lord of the Rings.
I can only program in QBasic.
I also never read all of the Harry Potter books; however I did watch all of the movies
What about you?
Humor welcome.

Aw, com’on RDG…IF I tell you my secrets on here, they will NO longer be secret…plus, I don’t find my secrets that interesting!!!
Just between me and you, my technical skills are mostly “reading the instruction book” and “turning it off and on again”. Don’t spill the secret. We build careers off this.
Did preliminary study and documentation in 1965 for patent for turbine blades and vanes in jet engines.
I’ve created my own language along with a fictional world and culture to go along with it and I’ve written about this world and its society and religion, as well as created some texts in the language. :)

Don’t fret over. I once read an article with the real Mike Tyson and he admitted he could never get past Glass Joe.
I’ve changed a lot of the artists’ names, album and song titles on my playlist, to really stupid and vulgar ones.
E.g.: George Harrison- All Things Must Pass > Georgity Hairyasssonofabitch- All Things Must Pass Gas. ;-p
Marty Robbins- El Paso > Farty Slobbins- El Paso Mucho Gasso.
Allman Brothers Band- Eat a Peach > Allgirl Brothers: Banned- Eat a Pooch
This little guy is a character of my next comic, along with this guy. Long story short, little guy is a doll that is magically connected to big guy. If little guy is hurt, big guy is hurt as well. The reason for that is, well, both big guy and little guy are not real. They are products of another guy’s imagination to escape his reality. Big guy is who real guy wishes he could be, and little guy is the manifestation of real guy’s journal that documents his imaginary world. Because real guy wants to escape reality, he is vehemently protective of his journal, hence the little guy-big guy connection.
Here is a picture of big guy being a patriot for no reason :)
I don’t know if this is nerdy or not. (it’s not to me)
But….I have been logging into the virtual world of Second Life for 14 years.
My nerdy secret is that I’m as much of a nerd as I am. I used to hear friends’ and acquaintances’ stories of woe with their computers, and I would try to fix the problems for them. Especially after everyone got computers and got on the WorldWideWeb I became tech-support for way too many people and had to cut back.
Now when I hear a tale of tech woe, I listen kindly and sympathize. Only with the closest of friends do I say, “bring it over and let’s take a look”. Turns out it’s better in the long run for most of them to get a handle on their gadgets and the resources available so they can be more self-suffficient.
