What's your favorite song?
Thought we could all use a break from Covid 19 and politics. Have at it..Country, rock, easy listening, crooners like Dino,
show tunes, just whatever. Even classical or waltzes like Blue Danube..whatever floats your stick.

Favourite songs change all the time as new music comes out ,and discovering music you haven’t heard before.
How about classic songs, like Hotel California .(The Eagles)
or Money for nothing.(Dire Straits)
Stairway to heaven.(Led Zeplin)
Tell me lies.(Fleetwood mac)
My Three Classic songs that will live forever.
Good choices all. You are man of taste Mr. SQUEEKY. And no need to limit ourselves to one tune or one genre. As I said, let’s have fun and have at it. I’m just tired of Trump/Biden Covid 19/ Black Death gloom and doom. Time to lighten this joint up for a while.
Well then lets hear yours?^^^^^^
Hell my taste in music runs the qammet. Country, Willie Nelson always comes to mind. I Gotta Get Drunk, If you got the Money I Got the Time, Pauncho and Lefty, Seven Spanish Angels. Rock,
or light rock, my tastes run to the Beatles. Just about anything they did. I even like some Dean Martin now and then. Everybody Loves Somebody, That’s Amore, a few others. I can handle about anything but rap.
I know what you mean when it comes to music I like a little of everything and a lot of nothing.
Smells like Teen Spirit, from Nirvana.
I almost forgot Jimmy Buffet. I’m a bit of a parrot head myself.
Absolutely positively greatest song ever!!! How could I have forgotten that one? Had a few of those Margaritaville days myself back in the day : )
And the inappropriate (for mixed company) song of his about “Well I surely do appreciate, that you’re sittin’ here. Your voice sounds so wonderful, but you face don’t look to clear”. LOL Had a few nights like that too. Life imitating art, or the other way around?
Hell @Call_Me_Jay we’re all that way. With me depends what kind of mood I’m in. All good pal.
Great music getting posted here. Admit it now, isn’t this better than Covid and freaking politics?
“Grapefruit – Juicy Fruit” another forgotten Jimmy Buffet jewel.
Mother and Child Reunion.
Turn the page – Bob Seger
Hotel California – Eagles
Bohemian Rhapsody – Queen
Landslide – Fleetwood Mac
In the air tonight – Phil Collins
Fire and Rain – James Taylor
Stairway to Heaven – Led Zeplin
Fire and Rain – James Taylor
That’s just off the top of my head for now.
Thanks for the non- political, non covid question!
It varies from time to time. Right now it is: You Raise Me Up.
@SQUEEKY2
Jen Houston should perform that at the inauguration.
Bohemian Rhapsody – Queen @chyna Yeah I forgot that one, one of my favs. Hard to beat.
I listen to a lot of Blues, so anything performed by Stevie Ray Vaughan or any of the blues by Gary Moore. Some of Gary’s other stuff is really good but not on my all-time favorite list.
BB King& Eric Clapton are others that I cannot Deny!!!
In my younger days, Maggie May by Rod Stewart was high on my list. Phil Collins In The Air Tonight is another. Do You Feel Like I Do by Peter Frampton. Sound of Silence & Bridge Over Troubled Waters by Simon & Garfunkle still ring true. I also cannot deny anything by The Eagles, Credence Clearwater Revival, Lynard Skynard, The Beatles & I know there are more!!!
DooWop is another phase that I can’t pick just one.
During my Country phase, pretty much anything by Alabama, George Strait, or Willie Nelson made me smile. Oops, I almost forgot Garth!!!
I love music in general so narrowing it down to a few is impossible!!!
@LadyMarissa Agreed, I’m the same way. I even enjoy some of that Classical stuff.
I enjoy some classical. Rap & Opera are 2 that I don’t always appreciate & I still find some in those 2 genres that I admire!!!
Yeah, we needed that bud. I think? : )
https://youtu.be/hdC-kR9MJxU This one made me laugh so hard I literally almost fell off my chair, my wife thought I’d lost my mind. So very true though. And I AM a Texan, lol.
This was my grand dad’s favorite Ray Stevens song. He was young back then
Not as funny as Ray’s song but Home Free does a pretty version
My husband used to sing Chris Isaak to me not long after we first met!!!
Ah HA!!! You voted twice ,knew it had to be done somewhere.
