Can someone help me with my Fluther page?

Asked by Pandora (32436points) November 20th, 2020

My desktop and laptop will not display the web page correctly making it difficult to navigate. For now it is fine on my phone but I am not crazy about using my phone because the smaller letters are harder to read.

I’m having a really wonky display on my iPad this week. It’s all on half the page in a strange narrow column. Restarting the iPad doesn’t correct it.

My desktop display is fine.

Yes in plain text. Both on my computer and laptop. All squished to the left of the screen. It started with my computer. Sometimes it was fine an other times it jumbled up. It was fine for a week on my lap top but now its does the same thing. If I change my phone format to desktop it does the same thing. However I can change my phone format but not on the computer. So I gather it may be a fluther issue.

No clue. I’ve had some problems myself, with posting questions. Some one suggested a reboot but I tried that to no avail. Cant get past the “Continue” button. That’s happening on my (relatively new) lap top. I can post a question on my phone, no problem. Go figure. I have no clue why that should even make a difference.

@nomore_lockout, I don’t know if this has anything to do with it but the phone web address is ifluther.com. I tried using that web address on my home computer and it says it can’t find that address. So I imagine computers run differently than phones and the web design is different. Not sure. I’m just guessing. I’m not an It person. I do know that the format for my desktop and my phone have always been different. And the phone has the option to change to desktop. When I do that, it does just like my computer and shoves everything to the left of the screen.

@Pandora Have you tried contacting the mods? Maybe it IS a Fluther issue.

Desktop should be www.fluther.com. i.fluther.com is for mobile version. Try the web address for you desktop.

I have always used the desktop one on my computer. When I try using the mobile version it’s doesn’t link the address at all on my computer so there is no mistake on what address is being used. https://www.fluther.com/224052/can-someone-help-me-with-my-fluther-page/

I think the Mods need to be contacted and Ben may need to get involved since it is wonky for a few of us.
