Does anyone think I might stop getting addressed by Trump campaign emails as one of his strongest fans after this?

Asked by Zaku (30571points) December 11th, 2020

I’ve been getting about three emails per day from the Trump campaign, most of them referring to me as one of his strongest supporters.

A few times I’ve started trying to respond to them, but that never got very far because their email format doesn’t work when I reply in Eudora, and the site addresses tend to reject Tor browser connections.

And I generally consider it pretty useless to try to communicate with insane sociopaths, but today I went ahead and signed another petition to Trump and Mitch McConnell, which says, Your inaction, ineptness, and inhumanity are forcing millions of Americans into financial ruin and condemning tens of thousands of Americans to avoidable deaths. History will judge you in its very harshest light. The least — the very least — you could do now is just get out of the damn way and let people who actually want to help their fellow Americans do so.”

My question here is: does anyone think there’s any chance they’ll read what this communication actually says, note it’s from “one of their strongest supporters”, and remove me from their donation-begging emails?

(I think the way I got on their email list in the first place was probably by signing one or more petitions to Trump protesting his depredations.)

Nope. I have the same problem. I think I may have accidentally deleted something I need for FaceBook today, because it got caught in my inbox between a zillion texts from Trump and Company. “Its not to late” / We need your help” / “I have something for you”. Well it is too late, I refuse to help, and take whatever you have and jam it up your ass. Got to go clean out my inbox (Again).

Can’t you “unsubscribe”?

Tried that they just keep coming. @jannbb

@Zaku That was really to you and to answer your question, no, I don’t think they will read what you wrote.

Oh sorry for jumping the gun on that response. She can try that but I doubt it will work. I’ve been getting dozens every day. No matter how much unsubscribing I do.

@janbb I could unsubscribe. That’s one thing that probably would work, because they provided a readable bulk-unsubscribe header address. I’m just accumulating them because of the historical spectacle of new heights of terribleness.

I’d just create a new email account.

@Zaku So you don’t really don’t want to stop getting them. You just want bragging rights.

Not bragging rights. I just think it’s interesting and mind-boggling how numerous, extremely idiotic, crazy, and blatantly nonsensical, the emails are.
