Being the main sponsor of terrorism in the world might have something to do with it.

Well, Iran is Shia and most of the Muslim world is Sunni and I’m told sectarian divisions run deep there.

As well they want to take out Isreal which is the predominate US ally in the Middle East, along with, oddly enough, Saudi Arabia. So that ain’t happening. The US and even the Saudis, won’t allow it to happen. Although it’s mostly a self interest thing with Saudi Arabia. “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.” And after 9/11 certain parties in that part of the world, haven’t made any friends in
the U.S.

@Yellowdog “Being the main sponsor of terrorism in the world might have something to do with it.”

You’re confusing Iran with Saudi Arabia.
