Are those attorneys general who are trying with Trump to disregard Biden’s victory truly believe they have a case or do they know it’s merely a political stunt?

Asked by mazingerz88 (29261points) December 12th, 2020 from iPhone

If it’s a stunt then they’re just being jerks. Dangerous and deplorable jerks would you agree?

Political stunt, if they have had any true evidence they would have presented it long ago.
The fact they did not proves it was a political stunt.

Texas Monthly – Dec 11, 2020 – Ken Paxton Takes His Texas Grifting to the National Stage
“Facing a bribery allegation and criminal fraud charges, the Texas attorney general is tossing his supporters fresh red meat—and potentially angling for a Trump pardon—by leading an attempt to overturn the will of American voters.”

^^Vomit inducing corruption. Criminal.

@Call_Me_Jay Exactly. Paxton is doing this in hopes he will be blessed with a pardon from Dear President. It makes me sick.

In 1860 there was something similar, secession by the Confederation.

The Republican Congressional members are calling for the overthrow of the government to install a Fuhrer, are on the verge of being removed from office.

“Fourteenth Amendment

Section 3

No Person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.”

There are several state bar associations that believe any lawyer who was party to the suit should be disbarred for filing false claims.

And the 126 House Republicans that signed brief in support of the lawsuit may be challenged from sitting in the next Congress.

Stunt mostly, but a goodly number of them are kissing Trump’s ass to be in a good place if he runs in 2024.

And some of them need to show how “true red” they are if they want to be reelected in 2022 or 2024.

Either way I think it prolongs there employment?

It is a stunt to keep the republican party relevant. They don’t win elections very often and they need to cling to it when they do. There have been some great rep leaders worth following, but I don’t see trump to b one of them and I just can’t understand why so many want to hitch on to his wagon of doom

I started out my adult life as a rep, but I have grown increasingly disillusioned by them over time. I’m not ready to become a loyal dem just yet; but if they continue on this path, my straight party ticket days will be over

“They know they have a case. Or cases, Both Hunter and Joe.”

Newsmax and Fox News don’t count as sources !

They knew they had no case. It was doomed to fail on several levels, as explained in this video.
It is a purely political stunt.
