Why did Bill Barr suddenly stop agreeing with everything Trump says?

1) Barr’s last day is tomorrow so he probably said “what the fuck” and and started acting honest again.

2) Trump was too crazy for even a sellout like Barr.

And let’s be clear- Barr was fired, he didn’t resign. He was “asked to resign” and he did. After soiling is reputation for the last several years.

Great question. Could be Barr’s immorality stops at misrepresenting Mueller’s report ?

I think he is trying to repair his reputation so he is not, umm, “disbarred.” A little late. He also may be pissed at being fired.

@Darth_Algar more than he has today. He was no great shakes working for the Bush administration, but I don’t think he was out-and-out corrupt.

Barr is a true believer in far-right “Christian” values. He saw Trump as a way to further the “religious freedom” agenda of paleo-conservatives against civil rights progress and to give religious organizations free passes to discrimate and collect government funding.

His work is done. He’s bailing out on Trump’s flailing unfocused last days where their is no organized plan except to leave chaos and disruption for President Biden.

One way or another, he undoubtedly thinks it’s in his best interests. It’s not going to be a last-minute resolve to live a better life, or anything to do with the well-being of the country or its people. In this way he’s still in harmony with Trump.
