The fish etymon Mrs Dymond while Irina Dunn the bicycle.
Give a man a live fish and he will dig a pond, put in lights, filtration system, aeration pumps, and ice melters; and he’ll have to keep the whole mess operational and clean and buy food and protect the fish from predators for the next 20 years.
@LuckyGuy and the damned fish will STILL not know how to ride the bike
It was either Frank Zappa or Franz Kafka.
The way I remember it is “Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for 1 day. Teach a man to fish and he’ll eat for the rest of his life”. Jesus made a reference in the book of Matthew about making his followers fishers of men; but, I think the quote came from an old Chinese proverb
