Is DUTCH right? Might McConnell’s obstinance cost him his Senate Presidency and perhaps even his Senate seat?
Every hour it grows increasingly apparent that Miserly Mitch grows more isolated from the public, HIS President, both chambers of Congress and his own party regarding the $2000 relief checks stipulated by nearly everyone else. Will Mitch wind up devastating his party’s brand to the extent achieved by Mr. Trump

One can only hope.
It won’t cost McConnell his seat – he was reelected in November. But he could lose his leadership position in the senate, which would be almost as good.
I wouldn’t be so sure. Americans have notoriously short attention spans, but there’s a singular exception to that cardinal pronouncement when it comes to memories of who came between them and their money!
That’s the sort of New Years present that makes sense. You know what I find fascinating is that the slippery turtle cannot concoct a reasonable excuse for withholding the money.
My fingers and toes are crossed.
Just as I have little hope for a swift turnaround of this Pandemic, I have less and less confidence on the turtle’s resistance of the “will” that is defining this disease. No one or nothing on earth is going to spin this pandemic away. And those determined to sacrifice themselves challenging the mathematical certainties they should have acquired in high school—well I of course wish them the luck they don’t deserve.
I think everything he does is ruthlessly calculated, including obstinacy, and he doesn’t often miss. So no, I don’t.
Kiss it goodbye Moscow Mitch !
NO…Mitch has NOTHING to lose!!! He was just re-elected to another term & he’s older than dirt so, there’s a good chance that Mother Nature will vote him out of office!!! It appears to me that he’s following 45’s lead & working hard to destroy the party & I hope he is VERY successful!!!
What makes you think he was “just reelected to another term” @LadyMarissa?
I think she means he won re-election in the state of Kentucky last November. But I’m beginning to think you might well be right, and McConnel’s overreach may well see him go the way of Newt Gingrich. Withholding that money is the one measure even the most severely inbred of knuckle dragging Republicans understands IMMEDIATELY without explanation.
