How can I avoid being my worst enemy?
I can be my own worst enemy at times. It’s hard sometimes to note that oneself can be their own worst enemy. How can I avoid being my own worst enemy?

Start by learning from your mistakes (something I need to work on too).
Then try learning from mistakes other people make (watch me, I make enough for everyone).
Becoming self aware is a good step.
You are aware that you put yourself back a lot. That’s good.
When you cut yourself down or act like your own enemy, write it down. Then review it and try to find commonalities so you can develop a plan.
An example: I often assumed the worst out of a lot of situations. I would psyche myself out and then not go to an event or avoid things because I got into my head. One of the skills I learned with my therapist was to write down my bad thoughts, then after the event write down what really happened. If you are second guessing yourself or something, write down your thoughts then write down your thoughts after you do whatever it is you are worrying about. It could help you realize how often your brain just tries to fuck you up sometimes.
In what way do you mean “worst enemy”? Is it “I hate myself so much” or “I have several bad habits and I just can’t seem to change because my will is too weak”? Each scenario will require a different approach. But as @SergeantQueen said, it’s a good step to be self aware.
It kind of depends on what you mean by “being your own worst enemy.”
Are you a procrastinator?
Do you over-share with people?
Do you not follow through with your plans?
Do you choose bad romantic partners?
Do you spend too much money?
Do you make impulsive decisions?
Are you lazy, despite knowing what you need to do?
Do you talk yourself out of things?
Do you let other people run your life?
All of these things, in my opinion, represent various ways of being one’s worst enemy, but the approaches to resolving these issues can be quite different. Maybe you could give us some examples of what you mean.
