I have three, two handmade, and I only use one every other week or so.
I have about thirteen, all handmade. I usually use a couple a day if I’ve gone out grocery shopping or walking. I usually put them in the wash after I’ve worn them on an outing unless I really wasn’t around people at all.
I bought 50 disposable ones for $25. I am half way through them. $0.50 each.
Seven. Don’t wash them enough but so far last time I checked ( cost me 200 bucks no insurance ) I’m Covid free and the extremely high-risk person I work with is fine.
One of many questions that would have been unintelligible a year ago. Odd, isn’t it?
I have three cloth masks handmade by a skilled crafter on Etsy who makes beautiful placemats. One is a blue floral print that I use regularly so I’ll look familiar to cashiers and medical staffers. One is an orange one that I keep in my purse for backup. The other is a black and white abstract print that my husband chose but can’t wear.
The one in use I wash by hand every two or three wearings.
I also have a good supply of disposable ones for other family member and for incidental use.
Regarding those unintelligible questions, I like this cartoon: https://xkcd.com/2302/
I have 3 cloth ones into which an extra filter fits. I wear one of those, with the filter, and also an disposable paper mask under that if I have to be around people. So it has 3 layers. I dispose of the paper one each time, it’s a one use item. I wash the cloth ones every time I wear it.
I have only ever gone to the grocery store (now I only do curbside pickup and, or deliveries) and a few times to take my parents to doctor appts. That’s it, since March. Other than that, I am not around anyone else. I live with 2 high risk people, so I avoid being around anyone else.
8, to be shared with my husband. I wash them after each use, unless they were worn very briefly and can rest for a few days. At this point, we only mask up around twice a week because we just don’t do anything.
I have boxes of 50 (per box) disposable masks. I am not sure how many boxes of them I have, maybe two blue ones (50×2), one black one (50) and 2 Halloween ones (50×2), plus I bought 6 patterned fabric ones from a crafter in California. I also have a bunch of white fabric ones given out by my town and also a bunch of promo logo ones from my job and promotional places that offer free samples. Without adding all that up, I have a really good supply.
I’m not going to throw any of them out when the pandemic ends because who knows if there will be another pandemic or strain, and so I’m going to keep my supply on hand. I remember when this shutdown came in March of 2020, there were no masks to be found anywhere. I’m not having that happen again.
I kept five of the ones I made, all with filter pockets, (and the cute Christmas mask I only wore once!) and because I go out so rarely, Itemd to use one a week, and it gets thrown into the laundry every time.
A whole drawer full from the paper to a full face mask.
Generally I wash the ones I wear weekly to the grocery store after each use. I’m still at home.
Three, one of which I bought and the other two are promotions for a university library and my insurance company. I have not been going out much, maybe once or twice a week for short trips to the grocery or pharmacy. I wash them every other week.
What happens if… wait, i should ask that as its own question.
