Pumpkin soup with root vegetables, ginger, nutmeg, and coconut milk. All blended up. My mum usually makes that in autumn. This year, I made it myself for the first time. I’m proud to say I didn’t ruin it.

I order pumpkin soup if I see it on a menu. That makes me think of all the pureed vegetable soups. The one I make most often is asparagus. Chunky tomato-basil is good. Mushroom. Carrot. Pea soup.

There is a vegetarian cooking blog I like called 101Cookbooks. Here are her soups.

My French onion soup.

I have to add that I also love my own cream of carrot soup and cream of broccoli soup. And I’ve made butternut squash soup too.

There aren’t many soups I don’t like although I can’t stomach soups with bits of beef floating in them.

Can you share your broccoli recipie with me @janbb?

@Dutchess_III Mine is from an old cookbook but I’ll see if it will scan.

My favorite is chicken soup. Just chicken soup with either rice or pasta in it, and carrots, celery and onions. It’s easy to make but is a staple at diners and many restaurants.

I like hot and sour soup when it’s made right, meaning, sour.

Panera has a good butternut squash soup. They also have a good cheddar broccoli soup, although I try to avoid it because it’s probably loaded with salt.
