How do you think McConnell feels today?

I don’t know how does pure evil feel?

He’s probably talking to other politicians about what can be done to save the ship. He is probably not ready to give up just yet. Even if the evidence is clear and the ballots are counted, I’ll bet the Republicans are sitting around the table (figuratively) and trying to figure out their next move.

I’m watching them on the news. I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up with people getting punched or gunfire.

The Washington Post reports McConnell’s speech:

“But, my colleagues, nothing before us proves illegality anywhere near the massive scale — the massive scale — that would have tipped the entire election,” he said. “Nor can public doubt alone justify a radical break when the doubt itself was incited without any evidence.”

“Voters, the courts, and the states have all spoken — they’ve all spoken,” McConnell said. “If we overrule them, it would damage our republic forever.”

It sounded to me as if @SQUEEKY2 were addressing his sarcasm to @janbb by name, as if she were a Trump supporter. So when I said “we” I meant Americans, all of us, and I wondered why he was trying to provoke people who share @janbb‘s views (as I do), as if we were on the other side. I wanted him to clarify his remark.

But I was rushing to get out to a dentist appointment and couldn’t linger to see it through. “What??” was all I had time for. @Dutchess_III, I can’t believe you even asked me that.

I hope nobody who saw me write (just above) that McConnell had created a rampaging monster (Trump) thought I was a fan of rampaging monsters. I’d like to see them in a cage. Permanently.

But I still hold with Biden’s reaffirmation that we have to recognize the difference between the opposition and the enemy. Trump fails to see that difference because anyone he doesn’t own is the enemy. The rest of us can try to remember what is an extremely important distinction, which is why I said “No” to @elbanditoroso’s question on my way out.

I don’t think he feels anything. He has no empathy. Maybe inconvenience? That’s about it.

I would think he feels like the American he should be.

That’s okay, @Dutchess_III. I shouldn’t have posted in haste. Normally I take the time to reconsider my posts, check my facts, and fix my typos. I also delete probably 10% of my comments before posting. If I’d slowed down a little, I could have written more clearly myself.
