Was it outside of reason for walls to be put up around the White House when BLM protests were in full swing in Washington?

Did the presence of walls and police force seem like an offensive move rather than defensive? Did you fear that was an example of Trump trying to militarize the government or set up Marshall Law?

I’m not talking about the people who got harmed when he did his stunt walking to the church, I only mean the set up for protecting the White House. Do you think the security service had reason to fear the president might be in danger?

Yesterday I saw someone on a Facebook thread say recent events will now give Democrats the excuse to basically set up a walled fortress and a communist state. Of course I think this is ridiculous, but to me another example of basically the EXACT SAME messaging being propagated across both political parties and incredible hypocrisy.

Not at all.

If you consider the secret service guard shack being set on fire a reason for concern, then it sounds reasonable and defensive.

The White House was very afraid that people with high melanin content might be protesting by the wrought iron fence. Scared the poo out of them.
