Recently, when I’ve checked in several times throughout the day, I’ve seen 6–8 people joining fluther at a time. This is almost every time I stop by. Most have unusual, foreign-sounding names. Has anyone else noticed this?

I’ve noticed, and I’m happy about the upsurge. Just like all tidepools, Fluther ebbs and flows. I’m always glad to see some new names.
Most have unusual, foreign-sounding names.
And a lot of them don’t last for a day, because they are spammers and are wiped out before they can post anything, which to me is a good thing.
I don’t mean to sound cynical, but that’s what happens everyday on Fluther. You can see it for yourself by clicking on their profiles.
Ahhhh…ok. Makes sense because I’ve never seen posts from many of them.
