Well, I was excited and relieved last night just to read Heather Cox Richardson’s account of yesterday’s press briefing:
“Tonight, Press Secretary Jen Psaki held her first press briefing. She began by saying: “I have deep respect for the role of a free and independent press in our democracy and for the role all of you play,” then went on to answer questions. She will hold another press conference tomorrow, saying that Biden wants to bring truth and transparency back.”
I didn’t see it but I heard it was good. Will watch today’s if I remember.
@Zaku I love Heather Cox Richardson!
Exciting? That is rarely the case. Trump of course was the guarantee of a controversial press conference which is why they were unprecedentedly few and far between.
I did watch it yesterday.
It was nice to see her. She was funny, well informed, and respectful of the press. Everything 45’s press aides weren’t.
I watched the one last evening. It was refreshingly normal.
I just watched some of Dr Fauci’s press briefing. He seems so much more relaxed.
It’s weird. Never thought watching a WH press briefing could bring tears in my eyes. Just a little.
