The 4th John Ford cavalry epic is available on you tube. Have you seen it?
It’s “The Horse Soldiers” and my favorite of the 4 regardless of all the jingoistic schlock.

Watch the movie loli. It’s a fun romp and a sympathetic view of the rebels in our civil war. It’s worth the effort and it’s FREE. It’s chock full of character actors (like Festus from Gunsmoke) and faces you’ll recognize. The dialog alone is one big treat.
Seen that numerous times, catchy theme song. But the Cavalry vs. Indians oaters are my favorites in the series. Believe they were Fort Apache, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, and Rio Grande.
Also, if I’m not mistaken, I believe The Horse Soldiers was the last film of that series. Co starred Bill Holden as an Army Doctor I think.
I have even less knowledge of the Civil War than the Revolutionary War. But recently I came across a comic called The Bluecoats, which is a comedy set in the Civil War. It actually got me a bit interested in the period. I’m pretty suspicious about the historical accuracies though, and the timeline is really messed up.
I don’t think I can watch that movie soon, because my lack of knowledge will mess with my experience and understanding of the movie, and I want to be able to appreciate it to the fullest, but maybe I will, it looks quite interesting.
@ragingloli your anime looks like a cliche mixture of My Little Pony and My Hero Academia, which are both a different thing from the movie @stanleybmanly is talking about.
@Mimishu 1995 I believe the movie was a very loose adaptation of an actual raid by Union cavalry deep into Confederate territory with the goal of destroying Confederate railway infrastructure. You don’t need to know anything about the war itself to appreciate and enjoy the movie.
@Mimishu1995 Watch and enjoy! Great flick. And you just cant go wrong with John Wayne.
