Just too many choices. Since the pandemic we’ve been giving in to cravings. But on Sunday the wife returned from a girlfriend’s house and the 2 of them picked up fried chicken to go from this relatively new place in the girlfriend’s neighborhood. I want to go over the stuff that came with our meal. Half a fried chicken, brussel sprouts mashed potatoes, gravy and 2 fluffy biscuits the size of grapefruit. The food was exquisite, but when the wife later told me that it set her back 70 bucks, I nearly barfed it back up. We polished off the leftovers tonight, but I swear there is nothing you can do to a chicken that would permit me to put out 70 bucks even at gunpoint.

A whole rotisserie chicken.

@stanleybmanly Wow, I can make all that home for ten bucks, dang!

My favorite meal is probably a great pot roast in the crock with onions, potatoes and carrots.
Or a nice mushroom risotto.
Teriyaki salmon is a strong third, usually with asparagus.

How can you stay in business and charge 70 dollars for a curbside chicken dinner?

ragingloli's avatar

Clearly there are people that are willing to pay that much for it.
You might even know someone like that.

Probably something Mediterranean, like a plate of beef and lamb kofte with rice and vegetables.
