That said, the online Apple Store shows that 8GB Nanos ship in 24 hours, while other iPod models ship in 1–3 business days. Hmm.

Ouch… I see your point. Best Buy’s web site is still selling the 16GB iPod Touch for $399 (the same price as the 32GB model and $100 more than the same capacity on Apple’s own site… not to mention they’re selling the old form factor.)

They’re probably trying to move the old stock. I’d wait a week or two. They will definitely come in – the question is, when?
