Even if masks become no longer required, will you still wear one to prevent flu/cold/endemic COVID?
Do you think mask-wearing will be a norm that may never go away, even if it is no longer required by law? Especially if on top of the flu and the cold, we have endemic COVID that continues to circulate indefinitely? Or are you just waiting for mask-wearing to no longer be required so you never have to wear one again?

I never want to wear one again, but will continue to wear one until Covid is under control. As far as wearing one for flu and cold season, no.
^^^ I second that emotion.
(Post-covid) I think I’m going to start wearing one if I’m at all symptomatic with a cold/flu and I have to leave the house. This has made me more conscious of my own germs that I’m potentially spreading to other people. People in Japan do this, and I think it’s a good practice.
I’m in a place essential free of Covid and I still wear mask when going out, just like before Covid. It doesn’t just prevent Covid but other harmful things like exhaust fume from vehicles. Not to mention it can keep you warm in cold weather.
This is just me, but I can’t understand why people are so frustrated with masks they wait for Covid to be over just to stop wearing masks. Wearing masks can be a good habit to adopt. Sure, wearing it everywhere is inconvenient, but covering your face outside has great benefits.
I don’t really mind the mask, but, like @gorillapaws, I will likely only wear one in the After Time if I am symptomatic. I look forward to not having dog hair in my mouth and up my nose all the time.
^I told you to stop snorting dog hair. You can’t get high off of it.
I’ll likely continue wearing a mask in crowded places, and I don’t think I’ll ever return to hugs and handshakes.
I have never been so healthy as in the last year and I think that being around less people, wearing a mask, and more frequent hand washing has everything to do with it. I will probably wear a mask if I am feeling sick or someone in my office is sick. Maybe in large crowds.
It’s completely normal to wear a mask in certain countries. I have no problem with it becoming normalized here.
I would still wear them in any medical setting, especially a hospital.
@tinyfaery I have never been so healthy I read, in yesterday’s news, that there’s been no significant number of flu cases this winter. February is typically the peak month; the CDC announced that this is the lowest flu season on record.
